POSITION:
Director of Innovative Program and Community Partnerships
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or eligibility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Grant writing and program development experience.
- Required criminal history background check.
REPORTS TO:
Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
JOB GOAL:
To oversee and implement innovative programs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the administration of the ExCEL program, the Early College High School Program and the Gifted and Talented Programs.
- Serve as immediate supervisor of Community and Parent Involvement Specialists and Parent Liaisons.
- Oversee the establishment and coordination of services of community partnerships.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of Extended School Year programs: Districtwide afterschool programs, Districtwide Summer Programs and Saturday Programs.
- Assist in recruitment of students into the ExCEL program.
- Prepare and monitor the Multi-year Equity Plan to ensure compliance.
- Review and make recommendations to ensure that all academic curriculum (books, magazines, videos, etc.) are diverse and representative of all school populations.
- Work cooperatively with and serve as a resource person for principals and classroom teachers in established programs that promote human respect and dignity.
- Create and develop all District Innovative Programs.
- Prepare semi-annual reports on the status of all District Innovative Programs.
- Ensure the equality of existing Innovative Programs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
12 Months. Salary to be determined by the Board of
Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with state laws and provisions of the Board of Education Policy on evaluation of professional staff.
