Terms of Use (Microsoft 365 Services)

  1. Authorized Use: Microsoft 365 accounts are provided exclusively for educational and district‑approved operational purposes. Unauthorized use—including harassment, bypassing security controls, sharing credentials, or accessing another user’s data—is strictly prohibited.
  2. User Responsibility: Users must safeguard account credentials, comply with district policies, and report suspected breaches or privacy concerns immediately to the Technology Office.
  3. Acceptable Use & Monitoring: All activity may be logged, monitored, and audited. Users have no expectation of privacy except where required by law.
  4. Data Security & Compliance: Bridgeton Public Schools adheres to FERPA, New Jersey student data privacy expectations, and district Board policies. Users may not access or distribute confidential data without legitimate need.
  5. Third‑Party Services: Microsoft 365 cloud processing may occur on Microsoft U.S.-based servers under Microsoft’s FERPA‑aligned Data Protection Addendum.
  6. Violations: Misuse may result in disciplinary action, account suspension, or referral to law enforcement.
  7. Acceptance: By signing in, you acknowledge acceptance of these Terms of Use.
