As a leader the values that I hold dear include honesty and integrity, commitment, a strong work ethic, and a caring attitude toward children.
I will be straightforward and clear about my intentions, directions, and expectations. I will model what I want from our staff and will do anything that I would ask from them. My actions will be transparent and honest to earn trust from our staff. I will be in school early and leave late. I will make decisions based on what is best for children and will interact, engage, and enjoy our students. I will work to create a caring and active learning community with all of our stakeholders.
Delivering the curriculum starts with a positive classroom community and building a trustful relationship with children. During the early part of the school year, time needs to be spent to build that community, develop a sense of caring and concern, and establish routines and rules that are developmentally appropriate and provide children with needed boundaries.
I believe we need to engage children at their level with fun, hands on learning. They are children not little adults.
We strive to be proficient in early childhood development, staying focused and engaged and this will enhance learning. We are prepared for students and focus on helping children by being on the cutting edge of teaching and learning.
I am committed to supporting all of our staff to grow and enhance their professional skills. I strive for a collaborative community where shared decision making is established. I care deeply about our children, their families, and all of you who work diligently for children.
