District Email Access Information
Bridgeton Public Schools provides all students and staff access to a district email account to be used for work or school. District email accounts are considered property of the Bridgeton Public Schools and the content of all mailboxes is subject to the Open Public Records Act.
District email accounts are not to be used for personal use. Examples of personal use are:
- Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites (this excludes creating an account for district use or management of district social media accounts.)
- Personal medical information (this includes using your district email for district health insurance online use.)
- Person tax or financial information (Online banking, federal and state taxes)
- Staff are not permitted to use district email to send personal tax information, including W2s, to a personal email account or personal accountant
- Communication with family members about non-district (work) related topics
Access instructions
Students
- Students will need to login to their email by going to https://portal.office.com or https://www.outlook.com
- Students can also use the Mail app on personal devices to access school email
- By using the Mail app on personal devices, you agree that the Bridgeton Public Schools Technology Department will be permitted to wipe your phone in the event of a stolen or lost device.
- Students can also use the Mail application or Microsoft Outlook on district issued laptops
Full-Time Staff (Teachers, Aids, Administrative Staff, Bus Drivers, etc.)
- New staff will need to log in to their email by going to https://mail.bridgeton.k12.nj.us/owa in order to reset your password
- Existing Staff Staff will need to login to their email by going to https://portal.office.com or https://www.outlook.com after your password has been set.
- Staff can also use the Mail app on personal devices to access school email
- By using the Mail app on personal devices, you agree that the Bridgeton Public Schools Technology Department will be permitted to wipe your phone in the event of a stolen or lost device.

Non-Bridgeton Staff (Contractors, Substitutes, and Student Teachers)
- Non-Bridgeton Staff will need to login to their email by going to https://portal.office.com or https://www.outlook.com
- Non-Bridgeton Staff can also use the Mail app on personal devices to access school email
- By using the Mail app on personal devices, you agree that the Bridgeton Public Schools Technology Department will be permitted to wipe your phone in the event of a stolen or lost device.
- Non-Bridgeton Staff can also use the Mail application or Microsoft Outlook on district issued laptops
