POSITION:

Maintenance/Licensed Plumber

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum High School Diploma. 
  2. Valid N.J. Drivers License 
  3. Valid NJ Plumbing License in good standing 
  4. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. 

REPORTS TO:

Supervisor of Building and Grounds

JOB GOAL:

To provide General Maintenance and Plumbing services as assigned by the Supervisor of Building and Grounds. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs Plumbing Maintenance as directed which includes but not limited to domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and irrigation systems. 
  2. Performs Plumbing services on heating and chilled water loop systems. 
  3. Direct replacement of valves of all types and styles. 
  4. Performs school building maintenance functions such as water heater replacements, water fountain installations, and domestic water pipe installations. 
  5. Performs other general maintenance service as directed. 
  6. Assist as assigned with the district HVAC Mechanics in providing plumbing services as related to that specific trade. 
  7. Complete work orders as assigned. 
  8. Is responsible for maintaining all assigned tools and supplies. 
  9. Posses the ability to pull Plumbing permits as needed and complete rough drawings. 
  10. Assist with plumbing work as directed such as drain clearing, pipe installations, valve replacement, and water filter changes. 
  11. Perform snow removal via plow operation, snow blowers, tractors, and hand shoveling as needed. 
  12. Perform Parking Lot salting with salt spreading equipment as directed. 
  13. Adheres to the District Vehicle use policy. 
  14. Performs other duties as required by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds or the School Business Administrator. 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 Months. Salary to be determined by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION:

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policies and procedures on the evaluation of professional staff.
