Facilitator/Data Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Appropriate New Jersey Teaching Certification, Masters Degree preferred.
  2. Principal or Supervisor certification preferred. 
  3. Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience. 
  4. Experience developing, administering, and interpreting district benchmarks and state assessments. 
  5. Experience in design and implementation of district curriculum, state standards, and school goals outline in the ASP.
  6. Professional Demeanor/strong and supportive interpersonal skills. 
  7. Experience facilitating workshops and training sessions. 
  8. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

BHS Principal & BHS Supervisors

JOB GOAL:

The Facilitator will assist teachers in research-based effective teaching practices and the use of student assessments for the purpose of improving learning, performance and instruction.  They will also work collaboratively with BHS teachers to ensure students are on an accelerated path through high school while maintaining and improving their social and emotional health. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Model research-based instructional practices and provide feedback to teachers centered around student data reports from district benchmarks. 
  2. Make program recommendations based on analysis of available data. 
  3. Provide content knowledge and resources about learning and teaching of the core programs including teaching strategies, assessment techniques, interpretation of assessment results, classroom routines and instructional practices that promote success, etc. 
  4. Oversee and implement the annual school plan in coordination with the ASP team, building principal, and high school supervisors. 
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed paperwork on planning, modeling and trainings. Report as requested. 
  6. Acquire quarterly data from English and Math benchmarks, disaggregate the data, and disseminate data reports to administration, staff and students. 
  7. In coordination with BHS administration, assist with the development and execution of district and school-level professional development.  Examine professional development and provide feedback as a member of the ScIP team. 
  8. Coordinate, communicate, and facilitate academic incentive programs listed in the ASP. 
  9. Keep abreast of current school-based core programs and their associated classroom technologies. 
  10. Coordinates and documents all implementation and staff development activities. 
  11. Performs such other duties as required or assigned by the Principal.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 months. Salary to be determined by the Board of Education

EVALUATION:

 Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policies and procedures on the evaluation of professional staff.
